Yesterday in a dyslexia therapy session, a student of mine looked towards the top of the page & said the most random word. I said “What were you looking at?” She said “I was looking for a picture clue.” I was livid and thought sleeping would help. I didn’t sleep. I’m still livid.

Think our kids are safe from the smoke because they are inside at school? @SuptDuran @MaryKaderaVA @BethanyZSutton @cdiaztorres240 @PriddyAPS @ReidForSchools Nope. Toxic PM2.5 fall in the 1-3 micron range. Many schools w/o MERV-13 filters = kids breathing "code red" pollution.

1. Sleep is the best legal performance enhancing drug on the planet. If you want better results fix your sleeping habits. 2. Form is more important than how much weight you lift. No one gives af about how much you lift. Leave your ego at the door.

Schools often refuse to identify dyslexia & then have the nerve to be baffled why so many Ss in their district are struggling readers. Dyslexia affects: ~ 1 in 5 (Yale) ~ 8 million US Ss (Congress) > 44,000 TN Ss (TNDOE) You will not fix reading until you #SayDyslexia. Period.

This weekend I sorted through some papers my mom saved from my childhood. The top one is my 4th grade self evaluation. The bottom, my 4th grade state test score. Random House published my 6th book last week. #MoreThanATest

And even without that problem, there's a fallacy in the plan which is that coding sloppily is faster than coding well. Wrong of course. Literally the only reason to code well is because it's fast. And good code pays off not just in months and years but hours and days.

Lost power for about 5 hours. Below 20F, no sun, 50+mph wind gusts. Our #passivehouse didn't drop a single degree! THAT is passive house resiliency! Oh... and no one suffocated #WinterStorm #highperformance @the_iPHA @the_phnetwork – at New York, USA

pretty fucked up that by the time you reach 40 there are basically only like five people on the planet who really understand you and they probably live in a different city

Are the flowflex rapid tests a bit more sensitive than the ihealth ones? These were done only a few hours apart and there is just the faintest line on the ihealth one. #covid #day13
