A pleasure to bring words of greeting & gratitude to a wonderful @JewishVancouver #ApresSki gathering in #Whistler #BC. REAL PEACE CEASES MORE THAN FIRE. IT CEASES HATE.
Beyond the cessation of hostilities, true peace extinguishes the flames of hatred, fostering reconciliation and understanding among all. Real peace does not teach hate, it practices kindness. #RealPeaceNow realpeacenow.ca

According to a new national poll, young Canadians are more likely than the rest of the population to believe that the Holocaust was exaggerated, and these skeptics are more likely to hold a negative view of Jews and a favourable view of Hamas. There can be no doubt that teaching the history of the Holocaust can affect how young Canadians think about the present. This is why we are working diligently with Holocaust educators and Ministers of Education across the country. I thank those territories and provinces who have committed to mandatory Holocaust education and continue to encourage those that haven't to do the same.

Whether at a house of worship, a community centre, or a school, people should never have to walk through hateful demonstrations simply to participate in community life.
