Yes! Happy Independence Day #Uganda!
Yesterday @CmaUganda marked 30 years and I was there to celebrate the milestone at the dinner and awards ceremony.
30 years back, few Ugandans participated in capital markets, later on understood the value of investments vs savings. We still have a long way to go but the industry has made huge leaps and bounds.
Today, many Ugandans know about investments, and with digital channels now taking prevalence, many are able to invest with their mobile phones.
A lot still needs to be done, and the next 30 years should focus on introducing more Ugandans to capital markets and making the barriers to investment entry so easy.

For Our Mothers
I turned up today, a mother in support of other mothers, because women should not die while giving life.
This cause is personal.
I have visited some of our hospitals and witnessed firsthand just how precarious giving birth can be in Uganda. None of us is safe until all of us can give birth safely.
The @imarathonug gave us a moment to focus on one of the critical causes of maternal mortality in Uganda.
But the cause does not end today.
Keep giving blood. Give what you can towards building the cold room at Mengo Hospital Blood Bank.
For the mothers. For the lives they are bringing into the world. 💚

Finally!!!! We go cashless on the expressway. It is long overdue to be honest but nevertheless a welcome development.
So far you can pay with @mtnmomoug - not sure when the rest will be added. I wish the process was easier than this.
I would prefer paying in advance and simply scan or show proof of payment at the toll gate, than having to initiate a payment at the gate, but a win is a win!
