“Addressing teenage pregnancy in Uganda is both a social and economic challenge. Many girls who become mothers during their teenage years never complete primary school, limiting their opportunities and affecting their future livelihoods. We must therefore work together to keep girls in school and give them opportunities to acquire skills and participate in the economy.”

Thank you for this beautiful and meaningful performance, @the_oliveschool .
Wishing all the people of Uganda 🇺🇬 a joyful and proud Independence Day! 🖤💛❤️

🇺🇬 What does it mean to say Uganda?
More than a flag.
More than an anthem.
More than borders drawn on a map.
Uganda is the people we carry with us, the home we build together, and the future we place in the hands of the next generation.
Through different languages, cultures and voices, the children of The Olive School, Namugongo tell one story:
Different voices. One home. One Uganda. 🇺🇬

PPH (severe bleeding after childbirth) remains a leading cause of maternal mortality. Today’s run is all about raising funds for a critical cold storage facility at the Mengo Rotary Blood Bank to ensure life-saving blood is always available when a mother needs it most.
