To all Gambians in the diaspora:
You’re preserving the dignity of many back home — and that’s no small feat. Stay focused. Stay intentional. Build wealth where you are, but let it flow back home with purpose. Support Gambian businesses. Empower your family to do the same. And most importantly, raise a generation that loves Gambia enough to return, build, and lead. The Dalasi must circulate in Gambia. The future depends on it.

My gratitude to Dr. Touray, his team for the warm reception extended to me, the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry. We reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of ECOWAS—creating prosperity and equity to foster political stability across the region
Remittances are a crucial part of our GDP, preventing many families from destitution and averting socio-economic collapse. However, the human cost of irregular migration is steep. We must forge new paths for accelerated development beyond migration.

Gambia on the cusp of history with Tangara’s Commonwealth candidature
"Earlier this year, I was told Dr Mamadou Tangara would contest for the Secretary General of the Commonwealth. Now it is clear he will definitely contest and if he wins, he will be only the second African to hold the coveted position since Nigeria’s Emeka Anyaoku more than two decades ago. As the historic election nears, I find it fitting to share my thoughts on Tangara, having worked with him for a year at the foreign ministry.
"In 2018, I walked into Dr Mamadou Tangara’s office in Banjul. I was recommended to him as he tried to put together a team which would properly handle the communications unit of the foreign ministry. He had just newly been appointed, replacing Ousainu Darboe who became vice president," Talibeh Hydara writes.
