ty @vercel for letting me yap about notion workers at ship sf today :) the ideal dev experience lets users and agents just write code. abstract away deployment, credential management, and hosting so anyone, not just devs, can improve their agents. even the most capable agents need simple primitives to build on :)

Better contrast for those who need it; beauty for everyone 🖤 Thank you @nikhilville for the opportunity to speak on overhauling the design system to support high contrast mode, and the experience of unexpectedly time traveling to the simple delights of the 1984 Macintosh.

if agents can write code and build new capabilities on their own, what should we actually build for them? ephemeral tasks can be handled by writing and running code locally. but for agents to write their own reusable capabilities and reliably trigger them again and again, deployment, hosting, and credentials management need to be easy! i'll be speaking more about this idea at Vercel Ship this thursday (10/15), come check it out : ) vercel.com/ship

Notion runs one of the largest CRDT deployments in production, processing millions of operations every minute! We wrote about the data structures we adopted from CRDT research to make our text editor more collaborative, and how we built on those concepts to fit our block-based data model. notion.com/blog/how-notion-h…

We also made an interactive demo so you can play around with the concepts from the post! You can find it near the bottom of the blog post or interact with it here: notion.com/front-static/crdt….

heads up, skills aren't just for engineers anymore! everyone is using skills, and the whole team needs a place to collaborate on them. not a code hosting platform. some place a bit more familiar.....
Introducing the Notion Skills API. Edit your team’s skills in Notion. Use them in ChatGPT, Claude, and all of your agents. Here’s what’s new:

it’s updates like this that make me so excited to use notion every day! this was thoughtfully designed by @tamralikecamra. u can feel like love and care that went into this 💛
High contrast mode is here. Notion’s muted design can make content hard to read. So we built a new mode for anyone who needs more contrast. Text, icons, and borders should be much easier to see. And we think it makes Notion look pretty tuff, too 🏴‍☠️

You can now share your Notion Workers. Build and iterate on Workers with your team. Or share one so teammates can connect it to their own Custom Agents. Free to try while Workers is in beta.

goated product goated team... use tomo !!!!!
It's been 3 years since AI exploded, but nobody's life has improved outside of Silicon Valley. Tomo is for real humans, like my little brother Lucas and 10,000 other humans taking a chance on themselves every single day.

I’m an AI researcher turned brain tumor patient, and recently I used the models to crack my mystery fatigue faster than my PCP could. I believe everyone can do the same with their own symptoms. Here’s how:

i used to always forget to order lunch.. now my notion agent orders lunch for me! every friday, it orders food for the next week. it looks at my past orders to understand what i like, and it auto updates memories so it remembers if i actually kept its order for me
Give your Custom Agents any tool 🧰 Until today, Custom Agents could only perform a fixed set of actions. Now, you (and your coding agent) can build any tool you might need. With agent tools (powered by Workers), Custom Agents can turn a doc into a slide deck, take action on any website, and even order your groceries!
