490 yrs ago today, William Tyndale was strangled and burned, having produced the English New Testament we celebrate 500 yrs of in 2026
His is a story that shows the messiness of the early English Reformation and it opens my own study of how the English Bible became a bestseller
Just came across the audio version of Bully Pulpit - a sample available here. The intro alone is worth a listen and a ponder.

If you are interested in finding out more about William Tyndale’s life and legacy, watch our podcast series on YouTube. Or, to explore the world of the Bible more deeply join us at our conference on 24th October.
Here's a handy list of red flags to hang onto; worth checking that your passion project, work or church is taking care to avoid them.
I'd add another:
- "Angrily denying these red flags are red flags!"

If you want to go there to the store and rate it, that might be helpful for others to find it. You can also install @keyman and get the keyboard that way.

Really insightful and worth a watch and listen.
Good to see continued improvements on Keyman 18 and next version coming along well. Improved autocomplete capabilities will be very significant for helping people write other languages fluently and correctly.
Check out the Pontic Greek and Koulango keyboards from our two newly introduced contributors, and Keyboard App Builder 14.5!
Significant improvements land in Keyman Developer, Android, Windows, Web, and cantonese, Hong Kong, and kachin keyboards.

ideas about what you'd like it to do differently or additionally. I can't promise to respond very quickly, but I do appreciate getting feedback, and I use Naija Type myself pretty much every day, but only for 2 of the 100+ languages it supports.

This poor old programmer struggles with non-programmer use of the word 'algorithm'. Can I turn off QuickSort? Or what about not running the software that contains the algorithm we dislike? Maybe we can run programs that don't have any algorithms at all?!🤪

Here are two words that should never go together: spiritual and abuse. It’s a diabolical pairing. The Spirit of God hates abuse, uncovers abuse, and cares for the abused. But we often see spirituality distorted and misused to damage a person created in the image of God.

A good thing to read, even if I do say so myself!
"To fully participate in the global church, Western churches must be willing not only to give, send, and serve, but also to receive, learn, and be blessed by believers from different cultures and contexts."

Absolutely. If we just assume the gospel and assume we haven't needed Jesus' love & rescue in the last week, we'll neglect to remind each other how good he is and then marketing something we don't really use & value to others will just seem fake...Because it is!
But Jesus rules.
“We need to evangelize one another within the church. It’s too easy to think, ‘I need to get better at heralding good news to my neighbor,” when actually at church, over coffee, I talk about the weather and football.”

"When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe." John Muir
On BBC Radio this became apparent very quickly while discussing the upcoming Gingers of America book. You would be forgiven for thinking it is about hair, but it is not. Here is a brief excerpt from the end of the wide-ranging chat.
The book is printing this month in the USA and features portraits, landscapes, essays and quotes including Muir's to open the Land chapter. By pre-ordering you not only help pay for the printing and support independent art but it will guarantee you get a copy.
Thank you for your time!
