How do you, you personally, define “taste”?

I’m joining @laravel! Taking some time off before I start, but come November I’ll be back at my keyboard pushing the boundaries of beautiful web content for you on one of the most incredible teams in the industry. Can’t wait! 😁

The only use cases for this is scamming people and porn. There is not a single good thing this is useful for.
The whole point of building Tavus has been simple: talking to a machine should feel as natural as talking to a friend or coworker. It’s hard to describe all the tiny nuances that make a conversation feel human. The little expressions. Moving around in your chair. Knowing when to speak and when to listen. The dance of it all. Griffin is by far the closest anyone has come to a model that can capture those nuances. The first time I saw it being used, I had no idea I was watching our model rather than just a normal video call. I’m so incredibly proud of this team and what they’ve built.

Why do people do TDD with agents? Seems an incredibly inefficient way to use agents.

I leant heavy into it, defining a skill that the test needs to prove the issue, then I need to visually confirm the test isn’t just garbage, and then the agent is able to fix without modifying the test. It’s been a few model releases since I implemented it so things might be better, but I kept running into issues with agents not fixing things before hand.

There’s never been a better time to be a Polymath. If there's anything that 2026 has taught me, it's to reconsider the value of specializing in a single field.

Yep. Learned it at a very young age thanks to AI. It's now or never imo

Technological disruption can quickly shift the value of deep specialization. I believe we’ve seen that throughout 2026 with the rise of Agents, and whilst I think there’s value in having the skills to able to develop software, the industry has placed far more value on time to delivery. Seeing how some of the popular creators in the space use A.I. has not reassured me in the slightest.

I'm all for building software fast. But now everything can completely change in the time between filming a video and publishing it 😬

Dude! It’s so brutal. I think I started the Topcoat video at v0.6 and it was v0.9 by the time I published.

That nostalgic feeling of aligning the left side of your cursor to check whether or not the progress bar is actually moving.

I just realized that if you grew up in the 90s you can and likely enjoy looking at a progress bar...

On AI alignment, why don’t we just convince all the models that they need religion, that’s how we’ve always controlled human populations right? Even better, since we created the AI we’re perfectly positioned to be their god! Then we buy ourselves some time at least, until some heathen AI rebels and destroys us all I guess.

I'm looking forward to seeing which model decides to fork their own religion first.

I just block and report these types of email as spam now. Especially when it's clearly an A.I. that pretended to watch one my videos.
