Remembering Prof. G. N. Ramachandran on his 104th birth anniversary
A pioneer of structural biology, he proposed the triple-helix structure of collagen and co-developed the Ramachandran Plot, which is still used worldwide to understand and validate protein structures.
His work laid the foundation for molecular biophysics in India and continues to shape modern biology and drug discovery.

Vikram's suggestions make a lot of sense. Unless this becomes a national effort, people will continue to suffer - The link between air pollution and mortality is now crystal clear, backed by thorough science. Lets stop deluding ourselves - this needs to happen now.
The smoke storm will pass, winter will end. And we will forget about the air pollution crisis till the next November.
Can we try something different this year?
