Starting my first SEO experiment:
using acme.bot by @distantgradient to publish a blog post every single day on my new domain
the goal:
- grow organic traffic on autopilot
- build topical authority around app growth, paywalls, and monetization
- attract app founders looking to improve their apps conversion rates
will Google reward the consistency or will I be shouting into the void? 💀
time to find out.
Rank tracking is causing havoc.
I wonder how many poor souls would be optimising content for rank trackers just because some Claude skill decided to look at GSC data...
Neil get it other way round (as do many SEO practitioners)
Editing a pure AI draft / outline is a waste of time.
Instead, get an AI to talk / interview you about the subject.
Its much quicker and more efficient if your workflow biases the AI towards your narrative from the first draft itself.
Prompt in. Content out. Publish. Next. I get it. It's fast and it's cheap. But from what we're seeing, the AI models doing the citing favor content written by people. Use AI to research, outline, and draft. Then have a real person write or heavily rewrite what goes live.

Domain authority is not a real signal.
I bet most sites selling links on this marketplace get almost zero organic traffic
Unfortunately, the users for this is likely agencies that are trying to show "proof of work" to clueless clients, and clueless indie-makers.
The grift is high in this one.

Neil says a 5-step 20 minute pass boost traffic by 400%.
The 5 steps:
1. Inject firsthand experience
2. Add something AI couldn't know
3. Cut fillers
4. Fact-check + refresh
5. Attribute to real name
Been working on creating EEAT non-commodity content, a few thoughts...
🧵 1/5
Everyone argues about whether AI content works. We tested it at scale instead.
We published 744 articles across 68 real websites. Half went live exactly as the AI wrote them. The other half got one 20 minute step first, and it produced 444% more traffic.
In this video I show you that step, why Google can tell your content is AI even when your readers can't, and the rule we now run at NP Digital: AI writes the draft, humans make it worth ranking.
Instead, it's far more effective to start with the human expertise.
The process we use at ACME BOT :
1. Start off with a 5 min interview
2. Ask opinions and prompt for personal experiences
3. Use the interview as a wedge for the whole deep researched article
4/5
This is a far simpler workflow, makes it super quick and leads to a much better quality article.
Above all, its fun to do (everyone enjoys being asked their takes on their domain expertise)

AI code is difficult to review.
Most code diff tools today were built for the past world - but AI scale of code is different.
So I built seendiff - to scratch my own itch.
seendiff is free and opensource.
We're live on product hunt - hunted by the top hunter @fmerian . Will appreciate your support there!

I think OpenAI has launched a new search system just now
Few hints over the past few hours:
1. ChatGPT websearch API price reduction
2. ChatGPT dev console "Latest | Deprecated" settings
3. Changes in how fan-out queries being stored in the UI as reported by @suganthan
🧐
The AI detection companies will have you convinced to banish all AI polished non english native users as "bots".
The will convince you they are fighting the righteous holy war.
BS.
There needs to be humanizers that will rip apart these "detectors"
Want to get rid of slop? Use the same tools you've been using for decades to get rid of human slop because slop will continue to exist.
Just like it has always existed. Even before AI.
