#UPDATE The National Prosecuting Authority has withdrawn charges of possession of dangerous drugs against Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe before plea.
His lawyer, Simbarashe Mukwekwezeka, said Mugabe was driving a vehicle without number plates when he picked up his friend, Max Mugaba, on his way to a barbershop.
“Unbeknown to him, his friend allegedly had 72 grammes of mbanje in his bag. They were stopped by police officers who noticed the unregistered vehicle which they were driving.
“Their vehicle was searched, resulting in the alleged discovery of the drugs,” the lawyer said.
Prosecutors are proceeding with their case against Mugaba.

When Chiwenga used the army in 2008, 2013, 2018 and 2019 to close off the democratic space, he thought he was fixing the opposition. Now that their program of dismantling the culture and norms that underping democracy is complete, he is now trying to rouse the conscience of a party that long departed from those norms. No one to fight for him and his right to be heard.

2013 Elections aftermath. Mugabe publicly thanked Chiwenga for helping him "fight" MDC. Democracy as a culture benefits everyone, it sucks to help destroy it and then realize you need it after the infrastructure you put in now wants to consume you.
