Once upon a time we were working on an EVM to OVM transpiler. After weeks of intense EVM debugging we realized this level of abstraction could easily get us 90% of the way there, but the last 10% would be monumental. We needed a different approach.

There are many under-funded @gitcoin grants that should get more attention, but one that stands out is @NoahZinsmeister's web3-react.
It's a modular library that abstracts away all wallets for you and the only one I know that works with React Hooks.
