It's actually the IACR board in this instance you need to talk to, as the submission format was made uniform around 2014, if you recall. They'll have to modify the Program Chair Guidelines

Yes it was fixed already before Eurocrypt'22, also why Eurocrypt'23 CfP suggests use of the latest version of llncs.

Over the last few years @SiGao17 and I developed a novel way of extracting leakage models from real devices. The cool thing is that whilst we can now accurately capture micro-architectural effects we do without giving a "helping hand" to worst case adversaries.
