Companies are weird. Have a pair of @GreatsBrand shoes that I like, but one of the laces broke on me. No problem, I'll just order a new one. Except... they're $10, and then $9 to ship them. I don't mind the $10, but double that when all's said and done seems a little excessive.

Profit margin on a pair of laces has to be what, 80-90%? And the actual shipping on a pair of laces can't be more than $5. They're tiny! So instead of offering any kind of help, they basically burned a potential repeat customer to save $5? Weird.

It's crazy how big Super Bowl rings have gotten over the years. I met a guy on a flight last year wearing a SB ring — he was a referee back in the day and said he never takes it off. You can't do that today. They are just trophies that get stashed away.

Everyone wants affordable housing… until you make it affordable. Then they’re like, “But where are all the features?” Lack of side windows = repeatable floor plan = affordable. Not a hard formula to figure out.

LOL - You just *know* there would be exceptions for yachts and PJs and rich-person stuff like that. I’m in if they add a 50% tax on any “purchase” over $1 million.

I was reading aloud in class, and pronounced "epitome" as two words: "epi" (like the pen) and "tome" (rhymes with "home"). 🤦🏻‍♂️ To this day I still can't get my brain to process that word correctly on the first read!
