The really fascinating thing about XR headsets is that where our smartphones took physical products and turned them into apps, these headsets now allow us to turn our apps back into “physical” products.

Big kudos to @Meta for its Building Blocks feature in the SDK. I'm using it for the first time, and it is a huge step forward in the usability of their SDK, because it lets you drag and drop the features you need in your scene, and the system does the heavy lifting of configuring basically everything for you. I think everyone (Unity included) should copy it...

There are two types of founders.
Those who do lots of research, validate ideas, test many prototypes, and iteratively get to a product
Those where the product vision emerges fully-formed in the founder’s eye before it is brought to existence.
The former is about problem solving, the latter is about manifesting a creative vision.
Problem solving is about taking an action to make something go away. Creating is about taking an action to bring something to life.
Both can achieve success, but some of the most interesting consumer products of our era weren’t solving clearly defined problems, they were bringing creative visions to the world.

At the risk of sounding melodramatic and slightly alarmist, for quite some time I've seen the so-called "Reality Wars" as, fundamentally, a war over control of the ability to effectively shape & shift how we perceive, interact with, and ultimately absorb information (and thus "realities", physical and otherwise)- for better or for worse.
A handful of players (publicly & privately) have been actively preparing for decades. Several more are just now waking up to the opening cannon fire. Countless others don't even realize they'll be pulled into this war in the coming years, whether they want to or not.

One of the things I occasionally get paid to do by companies/execs is to tell them why everything seemed to SUDDENLY go wrong, and subs/readers dropped like a stone.
