This is the moment Rodney Freeburn - at 85 years old - completed his 500th @parkrun!
A truly inspiring bloke and only the tenth person in the WORLD to reach the milestone at 85 years old or over.
What a legend. 😍

@clairparkrun @parkrunUK Delighted I’ve completed my 100th parkrun (69 at Clair). Big thanks to @Plummester for coming along to support and share the celebration. And I finished 100th - how odd 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️

Do you recognise these trail shoes? They were left in an orange carrier bag in Halls Hole Road car park after last week’s parkrun, along with other kit
If they’re yours, email [email protected] and tell us the size and what they were left with, so we can reunite you

Today we celebrated an incredible milestone, as Gill ‘stalwart’ Stalley reached her 500th volunteer event! She has clocked up 854 roles at 500 events, as well also running over 300 parkruns. She is Banstead Woods parkrun’s secret weapon! Thanks Gill, from all the team. @parkrunUK

RT: We're really short of volunteers this week. We need course marshals, timekeepers, barcode scanners & number checker. Can you help/know anyone that can? Pls let the team know asap at [email protected] Thanks. Remember wIthout volunteers we won’t be able to run our events 😢

Big news! We're teaming up with @parkrunuk again to celebrate International Women's Day on 5th March and we'd love as many women as possible to join in. Walk, run, volunteer...whatever works for you. #ThisGirlCan #IWDparkrun

Just did my first ever (slow, ragged, agonising) @parkrunUK and my word the sheer camaraderie & generosity & public-spiritedness of all the volunteers. What a wonderful reminder that most people, most of the time, are decent & good 💙🏃♀️
