We’re really sad to announce the passing of volunteer Karen Sparrow. Karen was with us from the start. Always smiling, encouraging and supporting our runners. Karen completed every volunteer role from marshal to Run Director and back again. She will be missed by us all. ❤️❤️❤️

We've never needed parkrun as much as we do now.
We call on governments around the world to recognise parkrun, and activities like it, as an essential public health intervention, to keep parkrun events open and accessible to all ❤️

And we’re off! #parkrun 143. The sun has broken through the mist and it’s a glorious day for a walk/jog/run
A little bit of autumn mist isn’t going to put us off this morning! See@you there to walk/jog/run @parkrunUK today
Today’s #parkrunhero award goes to first timer @SamIamGC who did our challenging 3-loop route in the wet, and up #ThatHill twice 😳, with Ruby riding the buggy and Charlie the dog as wingman. Well done. Great run! @parkrunUK
And we’re off on #parkrun 142. Very autumnal and chilly. Best way to get warm? Run a 5k!
We are short of volunteers for parkrun tomorrow - can you help please? Reply here, or email [email protected] – at Lingfield, South East
