NMR is a perfect tool to study protein dynamics. Here we show that Zn-coordination can be dynamic too. In the case of PML, its dynamics has important functional consequences for sensing oxidative stress.
Team headed by Irina Bezsonova combined NMR, biochemical and cell biology experiments and show that a conformationally dynamic Zn-finger within B-box1 sensitizes PML to oxidation @IrinaBezsonova @uconnhealth
