The protection of civilians is paramount.
The Laws of War establish clear rules to protect human life and respect humanitarian concerns.
Those laws cannot be contorted for the sake of expedience.

I am deeply concerned for the safety of our personnel and the women and girls they serve.

When I make it to 70 & friends tell me 70 is the new 50, I smile.

Great initiative to partner with @FIFAcom, @ssfa_com & @UNFPASouthSudan to promote menstrual health management through football.
Empowering girls & people around them thru football has been core to @UNFPA 🇸🇸 work and grateful to have more partners onboard

After launching earlier this year, FIFA’s project with @ssfa_com, which uses the power of football to provide girls in South Sudan with education about menstrual health and access to much-needed hygiene products, has been supported by @UNFPASouthSudan.
