We are bringing together some of the most fascinating minds of Bangalore under one roof this Saturday right before YC SUS.
Come meet the people actually building the future: researchers from NVIDIA, Microsoft Research, Google, Exa ai, Meta, Lossfunk, Smallest ai, BlackRock, and more.
This is not just another generic meetup, We have carefully curated the event with special focus on bringing in the right people to ensure that actual conversations can flow!

Basically this
I think what is actually needed is for Indian people to actually give a damn about their cities and fellow citizens.
Anybody using the "I pay taxes, I shouldn't have to do anything" excuse should go live in another country. India isn't developed, it's developing, so it needs patriots, not parasites. If this triggers you, it means you're part of the problem.
If you're not happy with the footpath (or a pothole, or anything else which is broken), fix it, or call someone to fix it, and don't give up until it's fixed. Be relentless. Be vocal. Be creative. Make it your mission to get that one thing fixed. Look at what Virendra (@Virendra0698) did by just calling the right people and being respectful (but also persistent). He and Arun Pai (@arunpaiblrwalks) along with the help of GBA and some wonderful volunteers turned an unofficial garbage dump into a pristine, beautiful footpath through sheer force of will.

Happy to see you building what India desperately needs today!
Your post reminded me of this:

Parth: There is so much anger and protest. Everyone wants me to pick a side.
Krishna: Don’t pick a side. Always pick your dharma.
Parth: And what is my dharma?
Krishna: To build.

I am pro globalization, pro tech, and pro capitalism. Most in my circle hold similar views. Most are nationalistic and have no disdain for this country, and all of them criticize the current regime for its failures.
The debate around extremism is too nuanced to discuss here. I have already been called “cow piss drinker” in this same tweet thread, so that I will refrain. Because all those who say they tolerate opposing views in reality don't like opposing views. The left has a history of that.
India has always been a melting pot of identities. This is the only country where jews were never persecuted. Parsis made India their home for this very reason. Secularism is the DNA of this country, largely because of its civilizational values. And it will remain so for centuries, despite its painful history.
EC made it abundantly clear that decisions were unanimous. The matter is already subjudious, even though the EC is an independent body.
On the contentions themselves, you can't cherry-pick. The opposition can't say the EC was honest when it won certain state elections and disingenuous when it didn't. This is even more dangerous for democracy.

This could be a defining opportunity for @narendramodi. He has the opportunity to pursue a purpose larger than electoral victories, party politics, or even the record for the longest-serving Prime Minister.
He could announce a larger-than-life national mission of BUILDING INDIA.
Bring together 10–15 of the best leaders from across political parties. Give space to ministers based on their ability to deliver. Bring together some of the country’s best business leaders, academicians, scientists, engineers, economists and administrators.
Set out a clear 3–5 year national rebuilding plan. Infrastructure. Manufacturing. Education. Research. Energy. Defence. Cities. Governance. Employment. Technology.
.@Sonderling47: "I am hereby suspending from the Permanent Labor Certification Program some of the largest IT outsourcing firms in the world — Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini — and also, due to multiple active federal investigations, @USDOL is suspending Microsoft and Adobe from the program."
interesting to see that they would choose to not distribute this through whastapp: a channel which has 3.3B monthly active users
