There is NO debate whatsoever to be had about welfare claims, awards and spending until MPs such as @Helen_Whately stop lying and misrepresenting the truth, apologise for their lies publicly, and correct the record publicly. Anyone saying anything else is a partisan fool.

Presume they'll also avoid any artists writing music which uses that foreigner Jean-Philippe Rameau's TraitΓ© de l'harmonie rΓ©duite Γ  ses principes naturels?
GB News is launching GB Music Radio, a 24-hour digital station only playing artists from Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on 2 November. Chief revenue officer Ross Sergeant said this "gives advertisers something genuinely new". radiotoday.co.uk/2026/10/gb-…

Here for the comments in response to this absurd anti-environmentalist.
πŸ”ΉWe need oil & gas. πŸ”ΉWe have oil & gas. There is not one single argument that backs using imports while leaving the UK’s own supplies under the North Sea. πŸ‘‰ End the ban on new licences. πŸ‘‰ End the Energy Profits Levy. πŸ‘‰ Permit Rosebank & Jackdaw. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Get Britain Drilling Again.

Usual nonsense being posted about "return to office". It's impossible to make generalised statements of this form which are relevant to all types of employment, unless one is a bad faith actor uninterested in the detail or with ulterior motive.

When you consider the chain of events that must take place to get Hazarika and Cooper on Sunday morning Sky TV presenting a graphic that directly compares Pip to military personnel, it does not bode well for the state of this nation.
Interviewing a govt minister Hazarika shows a graph comparing young people claiming PIP to the size of our armed forces & declares it "tells a story about modern Britain" I can't even make a sarcastic comment about our fearless fourth estate, because Hazarika is a Lab politician

PIP isn't an unemployment benefit. It's support for the extra costs of disability, including for people in work. Cutting it won't cure illness or create jobs. UBI+ offers a better approach: universal income security alongside disability support.
An excellent piece on welfare & benefits. The Govt knows what's wrong. It's not a mystery. They need to stop the dithering and reform the system now. Plenty of ideas from Conservatives they can steal for free like ending PIP cash payments for mild mental health conditions.

It doesn't matter how many times you cut disability benefits. Severely disabled people still won't be able to work.

Again - the PIP headlines pushed by the right wing media and their dodgy dark money thinktanks are inherently dishonest and manipulative misuses of the data.
PIP recipients report a huge variety of conditions, and most have multiple conditions. While three-in-ten (31 per cent) report having depression, just 2 per cent of all PIP recipients report depression as their only condition. Only one per cent (or less) report having only anxiety or ADHD.

Would you believe this is misleading nonsense. Morriston has 17k residents across 11 statistical neighbourhoods (LSOAs) each with 1400 to 1700 people. That bubble is basically a bunch of council flats whose residents are mostly OAPs.
Britain is now living with levels of worklessness that would once have been treated as a national emergency. Yet because so much of it is now recorded as incapacity rather than unemployment, we have gradually come to accept it as a fact of life. dailymail.com/news/article-1… That cannot continue. We need a new generation of welfare reform that restores opportunity, breaks the cycle of dependency and helps people back into work.

Tough shit. You have no choice. Stoned people aren't even in the top fifty of things destroying the country. This is just more outrage farming.
Our streets increasingly smell of cannabis. People should not have to put up with it in public spaces. We must not accept it as normal.

I stress again that the PIP criteria is online for everybody to see. People are being manipulated by headlines and dodgy data. You do not get it for just having anxiety, you need to credibly prove whatever your condition tangibly impacts your ability to look after yourself.

What is this thing right wingers do now where they just compare two completely unrelated numbers
🚨🚨EXCLUSIVE: The cost of Personal Independence Payments for mental health conditions now exceeds entire funding given to police forces in some parts of the country for 1st time. Sun analysis found cost in Durham was £195m, more than the £189m given to "underfunded" local cops.

For those who dont know the reference, here's the original absurd, bigoted, and utterly malicious disinformation chart presented by a cabinet minister and a peer of the realm.

Why is needing PIP treated as a moral failure whilst enormous executive rewards are defended as success? Why are we disabled people expected to justify every penny of support whilst the financial privileges of the powerful receive far less scrutiny? #DisabilityJustice

PIP exists to help with the extra costs of disability. So why do people keep treating it as a reward for doing nothing? A disabled person can work and still face additional disability costs. Why is that so difficult for society to understand? #DisabilityJustice

More lie's today from Nelson. Children don't get DLA for just being anxious, or having ADHD it's a lie It's a 40 page application. You require letters from consultants, psychiatrists, social worker's, and pediatricians He never mentions the Β£170 bn being handed to banks on QE
A staggering 1 in 9 UK kids is now categorised as disabled, releasing benefits for parents. Julie Marriott runs a community centre where young people tell her they fear being β€œlabelled” as anxious, ADHD etc Latest from Times welfare inquiry thetimes.com/article/f212df9…

This past week, multiple writers for the Times have all committed to the narrative of disabled people losing vital services. I’d for one would like to know who’s directing this campaign of abuse towards disabled people. Motability is a lifeline. We LEASE the cars, Alex.
Motability should really be understood as a hidden bung for car dealerships (disguised as a benefit for the disabled). Regardless, I think we can agree it has run its course.

Helen Whately has spent the past few days promoting a fictional divide between disabled people and β€œhardworking taxpayers”. First, she shared a carefully constructed Β£27,400 benefit figure that combines Universal Credit, housing support and enhanced PIP, as though rent and disability-related costs were disposable income. Then she suggested Labour MPs only resisted PIP cuts because claimants outnumbered their majorities. What she didn’t mention was that this applies to a higher proportion of Conservative and Reform MPs, and her own majority is just 1,469. Disabled people are workers, taxpayers, carers and voters. We are not β€œBenefits Street”, and we will not be reduced to figures on a political spreadsheet. #HelenWhately #PIP #UniversalCredit #DisabilityBenefits #DisabilityRights
