Henrik Zetterberg missed out again on the Hockey Hall of Fame vote during his fifth year on the ballot.
Patrice Bergeron, Cindy Curley, Carey Price, Pekka Rinne, Keith Tkachuk, and executive Brian Burke were elected on Monday.
Zetterberg played 15 NHL seasons with the Red Wings.
Classic @strombone1
Hilarious. Didn’t happen. Ran him out at the end.

Gotta say, as someone old enough to follow Sundin's entire career in Toronto, not sure he was viewed like this when he played. Not sure people felt he went "Above and Beyond"
Different era so I’m sure it was all of that. Don’t forget the 95 devils were about matchups and limiting chances from the opponent. Punch won cups with the over the hill gang. Not sure he’s a fit for this group.

Yes, and Punch valued tight checking defense and player matchups, often assigning certain players to the opponent’s best. You’d need speed and a high intensity tempo to do that
AI finds all :) Imlach-known for his harsh, autocratic style,verbally/physically abusing players-preferred older players, who supported him, young players like FMahovlich clashed with his strict/demanding reputation as a harsh taskmaster/no-nonsense approach, led to 4 Leaf Cup wins

Ironically, it’s funny that Leafs fans want a very old-school coach, because despite the emphasis on physicality, Punch Imlach placed tremendous value on speed. In fact, it was integral to his system!
Got wrenching was Florida. This is a bonus point. Next 5 are the key and maybe the season. #LGRW

We got 3 points out of Dallas this year and stayed even with Boston. We’re okay right now but check again in 10 days.
It’s an NBC ad. Super Bowl. Olympics. She’s a star world wide. Most Canadians who become stars live in the USA. Even elbows up Mike Meyer’s. Virtue signally phoney outrage. The same folks that turned on Wayne Gretzky 🇨🇦

This isn't her "making it"...She already made it. It's an odd decision by both her and NBC.

I accidentally deleted the tweet above this one, but in June I had suggested the changes the mouth breathers wanted for the Leafs would turn us into a non-playoff team. This outcome was always predictable.

This season, we won 22 games by one goal. When you remove 102 points from the lineup and replace it with 75 points in the aggregate, don’t assume you are still a playoff team. Those could be 5, 10 or even 15 losses, which puts you out of the playoffs.
To each his own. Not my fav guy. A lot of that physical play is after the whistle but I’m a wings fan so hopefully we can make sure he’s 5-6 after the deadline and next year.

I disagree with this take. When i watch him, i love what he brings to the team. I see him, time after time, getting the puck ahead to get into the O zone. Cant discard what he does in d zone either. He blocks a ton of shots, pushes people around and is our only real brute we have
💯 this

Leafs are a reflection of the media and fanbase. they listened and got big n' slow.

I didn’t care if we had Dubas, Keefe, Babs, Hunter or Jesus. I have only cared about the quality of the team. The guys who are so entrenched in their hate of our former GM or Coach have such a hard time admitting this is simply the worst this team has ever looked in the 34 era.
