“It’s a film that understands the limits of terrain—Wyatt’s eye never leaves the bleak tundra of Chicago for some intergalactic expanse of the alien overlords—with a feel for the politically cosmic.” See #CaptiveState, now playing in theaters.

Saw #CaptiveState last night. The music soundtrack was incredible, being both ubiquitous yet ominous, much like the alien conquerors. The movie itself, very much a product of our times, with scenes reminiscent of Furgeson riots. Literally thought provoking.

Sci-fi people need to check @captive_state - before its a cult classic. Dually nice seeing my favorite hood in Chicago on a big screen.

CAPTIVE STATE: One of the most refreshingly radical films in recent memory. Its main character is an idea and it views education (especially in history) as the key to class consciousness/liberation, so needless to say this checked a lot of boxes for me.

Really enjoyed #CaptiveState - such an unique and different take on an alien invasion - from the perspective of the traitors and freedom fighters. Aliens were creepy too. Unconventional satisfying sci-fi. #JohnGoodman rocks! Loved it. @captive_state #RupertWyatt @FocusFeatures
