Endowment funds absolutely killing it
"Harvard University’s endowment jumped to a record $68 billion as successful bets on equities and venture capital helped the university weather pressure from President Donald Trump.
The fund returned 27% and donations rose to $1.5 billion, with the endowment adding a total of $11 billion during the period, benefiting from broad gains in the stock market and its hedge fund portfolio.
Harvard provided more than $775 million in financial aid and spent $969 million in capital expenditures, with about 40% of the university’s operating revenue coming from the endowment."

guy who lives among some of the world’s most interesting sociopaths: these sociopaths are boring
This is vibecoding:
Unsurprisingly, vibecoding everything led to a production disaster.
Boss wanted 4 plugins a day, so that's what he got. Hundreds of JS files, everything stuffed in try/catch.
To those who say: "Just review the output", that's impossible when the code is constantly changing and you're supposed to ship 4 plugins (plus descriptions, screenshots, and videos) a day. (1 plugin used to take me a week.)
Got reprimanded last week for doing the videos manually, which is how I ironically was actually catching the bugs. AI was supposed to do that too.
But it turns out AI wasn't clicking the buttons, turns out AI had the bright idea to simply poke API endpoints instead of pressing the "save" button. on playwright.
"Just make more plugins" desperate cries from a boss who has no idea how to save his company frankly.
I doubt these even sell, if you throw enough shit at the wall eventually we're gonna hit a bullseye.

Jev images is here
One question about an image that is 850x850 cost one hundredth of a cent - $0.000096936
about 10,000 images for a dollar.
referencing the image more than once duplicates the token usage - so asking two questions in a single request is equivalent to uploading two images

If I were an investor in OpenAI, I'd want all those conference rooms bugged. I'd wanna know what all those little freaks are doing with my fucking money.
