I sell food on TikTok live for a living.
Last month: $63,729 in sales from my living room. 50% margin.
I started this year with no garage, no heat, no power, no internet. Just passed $250K+ total.
I post the real numbers here every month. The wins, the flops, and what I'd do differently.
Follow along if you're building something too.
Insane documentary. Must watch if it’s in your theatre
@nathanfielder you cooked bro

The beginners in our Reseller Mastermind are crushing it.
I sold $3.7 million in designer handbags without knowing a thing about handbags.
I’m not even the best story in our community.
Jim Rowe @resellerrowe went from hauling junk to $1 million in furniture sales his first year.
Kip Roland @kip_roland lost his Amazon account overnight, started selling customer returns on TikTok and Whatnot, and is now past $600,000.
Mindi Reinke @hey_mindi paid $1 for a pallet of books for her home library and turned it into $5,000 on eBay.
Joe Earl @jearl02s had never used a pressure washer in his life, then sold over 1,000 of them in his first year and now makes $30,000 a month.
Mike McCabe @MikeMcCabe1970 picked up a free couch off the curb and is now making $60,000+ per year flipping couches.
Michael Prendamano @MikePrendamano turned his death pile into The Bin Store, now a $4 million-a-year business.
Joe Poole @joepoole walked away from a six-figure salary and now makes $20,000 a month with his wife and kids in the warehouse.
Brayden Flack @BraydenFlack started by selling rugs and women’s shoes and now does $65,000 a month live selling food.
Yancy Forsythe @ApplianceGuy_ accidentally won 8 refrigerators and now buys appliances by the truckload.
Melanie Hiatt @melanieannhiatt has sold over 1,000 Costco customer return rugs out of her garage in Tulsa.
Aviva Steenstrup @avivafashion11 spent a decade inside luxury fashion and did $150,000 in her first year selling handbags from Japan auctions.
Nobody here waited to become an expert first.
They surrounded themselves with support from others and just got started.

Let’s go!
Here’s how I convinced 50 strangers to tap their phone screen 560,000 times in 3.5 hours
Milestones. Every 50,000 likes we ran something people actually wanted. Kept telling them we were chasing the record and they could be part of it
Scarcity. I pulled out a Lego set and a grilled cheese maker we never run. One of each. "When we break the record, this goes up"
Speed. Our auctions never stalled. No dead air
Names. I ignored who came and left. Watched the people tapping and called them out by name. Really powerful
The likes weren't the goal. They were the engine. 50 people acted like 5,000
44 taps a second for 3.5 hours straight

Triggering post for some dentists. Please be advised
Haven’t had a cavity since I was a kid. Went in to a local dentist this week for a cleaning. Doc found three tiny cavities that need filled
Printed out a quote for me with the service code and the tooth
$900 cash
I had my AI assistant scrape 50 different dentist shops and email them asking for a quote so I could shop it around
I’ve had a 40% response rate on 38 of them that had emails in under 24 hours which is impressive. But I’ve had every response possible sent back
A few have said “it’s impossible to give a quote you have to be seen. Here’s our new patient special.”
Well it’s not impossible because I’ve had 15 other dentists give me a quote along with an exam price if required. A few have quoted significantly lower and said they will accept x-rays if I have them
Those are the kind of dentists I want to work with. I’m having three tiny cavities filled, not a root canal. Thanks for believing me
My AI agent saved me 40% off my fillings. Booked it for $555 and that includes the exam fee
Who knows, maybe this dentist could have had my business but he chose to push a $49 new patient special instead
Coaching some new clients who just went live for their second time
It’s a reminder of how challenging and hard live selling can be
Selling items for a $1
Nobody in your show
Immediate discouragement
I was there in January in a freezing storage unit selling one size of women’s high heels
The people that make it in this space understand these three things starting out and it’s what I told my clients tonight:
- Find something to improve on from every show
- You’re creating an experience, not just selling a product
- Every big and small seller has bad days. Pushing through is the only path to success
Super excited to see how these guys learn, grow and move forward over the next few months. Glad I have a front row seat to it!

Here’s what $3500 in GMV looks like
Tomorrow I will have my packing team come in and fulfill all of these orders
USPS picks up at noon. UPS will come around 2:30
Rinse and repeat
Only downside is I have no kitchen 😂

If you want to be great, you have to surround yourself with excellence.
Curate in your social media feeds.
Place boundaries on any relationship that is not pushing you toward the best version of yourself.
And if you can’t meet in real life, then you better be meeting online.
My circle of influence is one of the greatest gifts to my success as a human and an entrepreneur.
We are cooking up something incredible for you.

Show traffic has been about a third of normal for the last week and a half
Lower bids. Slower revenue
Every time this happens I stress about whether it's a short dip we survive or the new normal
September was a slow month. Two weeks off didn't help
But the profit is in the averages over time
I’ve had to relearn that lesson this week. Probably won’t be the last time either
Your couch and TV are costing you thousands a month
We run a business out of our living room instead
Q3 numbers are in:
$167,974.76 GMV
$133,090.39 paid out to us
$74,309.32 net profit after all expenses, before tax
Follow me to see how we perform in Q4!
Your car is empty. Mine is full of gold
This is usually what my car looks like on a daily basis. I try to source as much locally as possible
Today I found:
Niche coffee bags
Cookies
Protein snack mix
Fruit bars
Popcorn
And that’s right Baklava
I lost money on a bag of protein powder last night selling on TikTok
On purpose
Ask your buyers what they want. Constantly
Test items early. What's hitting, what's not
Not hitting? Move on.
Yesterday we had SEEQ protein powder. New to my buyers
My floor was $20 a bag
First five bags hit it. Interest confirmed
Under $20, we move on
Then I bring it back later in the show. New people in the room
Pull levers until you hit the jackpot
That's the whole show
Follow me @BraydenFlack as I share some sauce on live selling!
How to ruin your day 101
Put one of these guys on your dryer
This is really the best invention we’ve come up with so far?
Random guy: “Looks like you’re stocking up for a while”
Me: “Yeah I resell stuff”
Random guy: “Oh right on”
It’s become one of my least favorite things about sourcing in person. People always have their eyes on my cart and feel the need to comment like I’m some big back
Anyone else love seeing eyeballs on your cart when shopping?
My wife quit her job today to sell food on TikTok with me
When I started this business in January my goal was to retire her from her W-2
She hated her job, was treated poorly and brought way too much value to a company that didn’t deserve her
Fast forward 9 months and here we are in a position where she will join forces with me and hopefully 5x her income!
She’s been helping behind the scenes on Fridays and she’s even sold on our streams before
Next goal: buy our $1,000,000 dream house
Follow along as we build our empire from our living room
It's not all glamorous as a live seller
I had a slow show last night. We still made money, but margins were lower than usual
Here's what I do when a stream slows down:
1. Move dead inventory I need to clear out. It buys time for more buyers to roll in and can build competition later
2. Pivot to sudden death on an item with higher perceived value if I need to wake the show up
3. Tell people my story and connect. I want them to see the person behind the business
Inventory gets stale. Streamers lose energy. Sometimes the algorithm is off
Slow shows happen. Live selling is about riding the highs and surviving the lows
Any guesses how much we did despite having a slow night?
Good news and bad news from last night's live
Bad - first show was rocky. Items going lower than usual and the right buyers weren't there
Good - I ran cheap inventory like sparkling water just to get it gone
Good - the evening show was rocket fuel. Snack boxes went for $40-50
Good - 60+ individual items and 40 boxes of protein bars sold
Good - $100 profit in the last 5 minutes selling meat sticks
Final - $5,017.08 in GMV, 82 customers, record night, #6 in live food sales
I post real numbers and results while I build my small business here on X. Follow along @BraydenFlack
Nobody talks about this part of TikTok Shop
They'll pay you cash just for hitting goals they set for you
This one I just cashed out on
10+ hours live + $10K in auction GMV = $1,000
We’ve earned an additional $1,600 in September from these mission challenges
If you want to find it in your Seller Center it’s located under the Growth Opportunities tab
Thing I wish I knew when I started live auctions:
Variety matters
I started out selling one size of women's heels. As soon as I added more sizes and styles, my shows did way better
When buyers don't know how many of an item you have, it creates scarcity. The mystery is what drives the bid up
For example that's why Bloom Pop auctions stall around $10. Everyone knows you're running the same thing so they just wait their turn and get it for $10
