We further note that T-Mo has distanced itself from SPCX after its mid-2025 satellite text service launch. Also, SPCX requires next-gen satellites to compete effectively with the ASTS D2D network, which we believe will provide ASTS with a time to market advantage in 2027."

Based on the $8B for ~14 MHz of 800 MHz spectrum, a simple proportion for AST's up to 45 MHz Ligado L-band access implies roughly $25B. Note L-band has different propagation characteristics than low-band 800 MHz, and AST holds long-term usage rights (not full ownership) with $550M upfront plus ~$80M annual payments. ASTS market cap is currently about $17B.
