Not sure who needs to hear this, but most of the HCWers at my hospital who have caught COVID got it from their kids who got it from school... Yup school. While we can and do wear N95s at work, it is hard to expect people to wear them at home.

There are currently 32 people under the age of 50 in ICUs in BC with severe COVID infections. All, 100% are not vaccinated. Those are 32 beds we could desperately use for other patients. – at West Vancouver, British Columbia

Now confirmed: MLB-owned baseball gear producer is closing Minnesota facility, moving manufacturing jobs to China.
I’m not going to let them quietly move forward with this. They need to keep those jobs in Minnesota.

Then, my colleague who had the accident realized she was wearing her prescription sunglasses and had forgotten her regular glasses. Within 30 minutes, my principal stopped on the highway, where the car was stranded and about to be towed, to retrieve her glasses. 2/2 #westvaned
This is why I teach at the best school. Today, a colleague had a minor accident on the highway near my school. Within minutes, a colleague drove by and stopped. After determining the car would need to be towed, she drove my colleague home. 1/2 #westvaned

This is incredibly disappointing and concerning. Restricting data undermines trust in government and raises questions on whether access to more detailed information could have led to more targeted actions to prevent spread of covid-19. #bcpoli

This is so incredibly sad. And it's infuriating to think that this family would have been much safer from COVID in Vietnam (population of 96 million, < 3000 total cases, 35 deaths) than they were in Sask. (pop. 1.18 mill, >42,000 cases, 499 deaths).

I can forgive @bcndp for overreacting to the first wave (eg. canceling elective surgeries to free hospital resources that weren't needed) but I can't forgive my party for underreacting in this third wave (1000+ new cases a day). I am underwhelmed @DrBonnieHenry @adriandix
