Your regular reminder: If the Russians stop fighting, the war ends. If the Ukrainians stop fighting, their land will be occupied, their leaders will be killed, their history and language will be erased, their children will be kidnapped to serve Russia.

Q: There are signs Putin will attend G20 in Miami this year. What would you say to Putin at the meeting?
PM Carney: My message would be simple: “Get out of Ukraine. Give all of Ukraine back to Ukraine. End this war, which is killing more than 30,000 of your people every month.”

Sit down terrorists.
Russia is not an enemy of the Dutch and European PEOPLE.
We know it. We hear it. We share this idea.
Yet reckless warmongers seek a conflict with Moscow against the will of their own citizens and despite potential severe consequences.

There was a hospital which wanted a very simple score to be documented on certain patients so they could meet a quality metric.
The details don’t matter. This score is very easy to calculate based on objective data already in the chart.
Yet no physician service wanted to take ownership of documenting this score. Everyone knew it would be a burden. It’s more clicks and more cognitive load on doctors who already face thousands of clicks.
If the doctor didn’t remember, it would be scolding emails for failing to meet the metric, and even more clicks.
So the doctors fought for hours across many meetings trying to deflect responsibility for the score. Should it be ER, admitting doctor, specialist, radiology…. Rightfully so, nobody wanted to be responsible for this score.
Because they shouldn’t have to.
This score could be calculated by the simplest algorithm.
A pre-AI-era remedial CS student could have programmed something to extract the data and automatically enter the score.
Yet, the multi million dollar EHR couldn’t do that simple thing. Instead of demanding their EHR vendor add in a simple scoring algorithm, admin spent hours deciding which doctors they could force to take ownership of this new set of clicks.
So, yeah, EHRs have massively failed at doing simple tasks. They’ve made doctors into data entry clerks because they can’t even do the easy stuff well.
Health IT has transformed care delivery, but administrative burdens remain a major challenge for family physicians. Our latest @JournalGIM study quantifies the “triple burden” and examines how these co-occurring burdens are associated with specific #EHR capabilities. link.springer.com/article/10… #PhysicianBurden #healthIT

If you ever doubt your vote for Mark Carney, just know that today, Roger Stone and Ben Shapiro both said Mark Carney is NOT who they want as PM of Canada.
We clearly made the absolutely right call!
Well done, Canada!

France just wiped Google and Microsoft off 2.5 million government computers.
Germany moved 30,000 PCs off Windows. Denmark binned Microsoft Office. All of it in the last 18 months.
Here's exactly what they replaced it with, and how to do the same tonight:

there’s a common refrain from the Canadian right that Carney was “elected to get a deal with the USA”. I think this is a fundamental misread of the 2025 election. Carney was elected to keep Canada independent, united, and free in the face of US aggression.

This is just for starters. I imagine next Trump would want ICE controlling the border and roaming our cities too.
Rip the bandaid off. Canada existed before free trade, and will exist long after.

🇨🇦🥰At Canada’s initiative, work has begun on the creation of a new CanZUK Alliance: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
Expanded duty-free trade. Faster and easier opportunities to work within the alliance. Political cooperation. In the long term — a Confederation.
Public support for the Alliance:
Canada — 76%
Australia — 73%
New Zealand — 82%
United Kingdom — 68%

And Trump is hitting Canada with 50% tariffs.
What the actual fuck are we doing?
