Martin I toured that song around the world with a band called The Proclaimers. It was well established long before your ‘romantic musical’ came along 😂

Quite how a song from a romantic musical film became without a doubt the best football anthem in these islands is a mystery . It is wonderful though. ☘️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Saw them in London and Edinburgh (1982?)

Bow Wow Wow - "Prince Of Darkness".(1982). It’s New Wave, but with a heavy Post-Punk and Dance-Punk vibe. Their signature sound is that super danceable, tribal Burundi beat, all thanks to Malcolm McLaren, the mastermind who put the band together and also managed the Sex Pistols.

The 80’s has synths, sampling, hip hop, drum machines, MIDI. Granted a lot of it was shite - but innovative and long lasting.

The 60’s music scene was explosive. Motown, the British Invasion led by the Beatles, psychedelic rock, folk-rock, blues-rock, hard rock and metal are all associated with this decade. What decade do you think produced the most revolutionary shift in music?

When you think of musicians gone too soon… who’s the first one that comes to mind? We’ve lost so many incredible musicians far too young. It makes you wonder what music they might have given us if they had more time.
