I have listened to Rush ever since 1980. It was a treat hearing Rush again last night in Seattle. Annika Niles honored Neil Peart the entire show - she is technical, precise and beats the hell out of her kit. Alex and Geddy continued their incredible musical mastery today. What a fantastic performance.
I was a drummer and started lesson when I was 10. The first time I heard Tom Sawyer on KBPI in Denver I was 13 and it blew my mind. I can still play a perfect version on my steering wheel.

On this day 19 years ago - @RUSHTheBand's "Tom Sawyer" was played in "Everybody Hates Chris" (Season 3, Episode 2 - "Everybody Hates Caruso"). The song begins to play when the bully Caruso begins to fight the Asian student, Yao, in the school corridor. youtube.com/watch?v=SNjcAhC3…

Here's some video of Anika's end-of-show shenanigans from @RUSHTheBand's show last night, where she seems to take out a plushie 8-ball of some kind, place it on one of her cymbals, and use her drumstick like a pool queue to knock it off. ... youtube.com/watch?v=g_hcHuLD…
