Not a heart attack, but something almost got me last night. Out of the ER today, thanks all you for being there and sending messages.
Scary when you’re alone and something like that happens

Hey everyone. If you watch my show you probably know of Clint aka LGR. Two of his cousins were in a house fire recently and unfortunately one passed away and the other is injured. The family is raising money to help out everyone who was affected by this tragedy.
Please donate and share when and if you can. Thank you. ❤️

Got a new answering machine. The Western Electric model 1-B from 1955. Still had the original outgoing announcement. Sadly no incoming messages though. Its all tube and has a tone wheel like a B-3 organ for the beep. @evandoorbell @uncommnephemera @dmine45
Got a fun new toy and brought it up on the dim-bulb tester. A 101B Generator. This one was made for PBX's but is effectively the same used in later 355 Steps. @evandoorbell

The internet archive needs our help. It's once again being threatened by record labels who don't give a crap about preservation. Please take a moment to check out this link. change.org/p/defend-the-inte…

Hello, @NASAHubble! Here's a view from the ground, just outside Jezero Crater (circled), taken by @NASAPersevere yesterday.

ALT Full-disc view of Mars. Clouds and ice brighten the north and south poles. The terrain in between is bright orange with patches of dark umber, pockmarked with craters. On the right limb of the disc, at about the 2 o'clock position, a small white circle marks the approximate location of Jezero Crater.
Hi, Mars! 👋
In Hubble's 12th year, the telescope got a great look of the Red Planet when it was 43 million miles from Earth – the closest it'd been since 1988.
This view shows white water-ice clouds and a large amount of swirling orange dust storms: go.nasa.gov/4hElhu0

While I make it a point not to comment on politics or current events, I feel like it's a good time to emphasize that Uncommon Ephemera does not and has never received funding or support from governmental sources. In fact I am not even eligible for traditional media preservation grants, all of which require the materials not be published and the materials be housed in a pubilc-access facility like a museum or library. As you can imagine, it's not feasible to just let the entire world come hang out at my house at all hours.
While it's crucial for everyone to voice their opinions on global and national issues, I'd like to also highlight the importance of individual support of independent initiatives like Uncommon Ephemera who rely on the generosity of a few patrons and even fewer donations. My mission is to preserve media that might otherwise be lost to time, a task I undertake with very limited resources. Your support, whether through donations or spreading the word on social media, is absolutely vital for us to keep this unique archive alive and accessible.
Thank you for considering how you can help preserve our collective cultural heritage.

Okay Mac Classic. Let’s see what sitting on a roof for two years does.
