Here's a phone trip (in a modified "Evan Doorbell" sort of style) to the Palmerton Telephone Company in Palmerton, PA near Allentown. Two sort of working Northern Telecom central office controlled Dial Tone First pay phones. Hope you all enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=bu85Im1P…
I heard from an industry contact today that what we think is the last 4ESS switch in the network will be powered down tonight. It's the switch in Lansing, MI. Traffic has already been rerouted to other switches in the new N4E (Next Generation 4ESS) network. @evandoorbell
The Evan Doorbell site has been successfully moved. Let me know if you see anything wrong. Thanks! @evandoorbell
I think @evandoorbell would like this. Found this in another group. Don't know the timeframe, but I'm guessing the 70s.
A great video about the background of AT&T Long Lines and a couple of former LL facilities in Manhattan. @evandoorbell check this out. youtube.com/watch?v=0hBiC4In…
I made a Phone Trip (in a modified Evan Doorbell style) to Head Waters, VA in Dec. 2021. Check out the video. youtube.com/watch?v=ru7BECFf…
@evandoorbell
Just an FYI, I'm aware that the Evan Doorbell website is offline. It's affecting the entire datacenter where I host all of my websites. I called and they said they expect to be up within 30-60 minutes. Just making sure you're aware @evandoorbell
My friend @evandoorbell was interviewed for this article.

It is a night of great sadness, for our friend and comrade had gone down the road where we cannot reach her. But as with all things, we will catch up with her in time, and I believe she will have many stories to tell us, and many new roles to share with the universe.
Dial a non-working number in the 872-838 office if you really want to hear something out of this world. This switch uses in-band MF and goes to a talkable reorder that supes (the signaling does not). And you can hear other crosstalk in the background. 872-838-9983 @evandoorbell
Hi @museumofcomm are your switches still accessible via C-Net? I'd like to listen to them. Thanks! :)
