The “Trump doesn’t fulfill his promises” crowd on the right, either unknowingly ignore the insane levels of lawfare carried about the left, or intentionally hide it from their audience. The level of “legal warfare” carried out is honestly something I couldn’t have imagined.
I find it quite frustrating when people try and invoke the founding fathers to support their ideas on America when they’d be horrified about what the founders actually wrote. I don’t think people realize how devastating the 50-60s were to people understanding American history.
I truly miss being under the authority of Bishop Burbidge. Maybe it was the circles I was in while in the Arlington Diocese, but Catholicism flourishes there under him.
Every older Catholic couple I’ve met since moving to Florida has told me their kids aren’t really having children (few say they have multiple grandkids). Yet, every Catholic family I met in the Arlington diocese talked about how they have like thirty grand children. Lesson here.
Read a bunch of orders from judges looking for a specific argument to have been address. One judge mentions it and then never actually addresses it. I’m tired boss.

In 2022, a Detroit parish approached a wealthy Catholic family and asked for money for restorations. The family agreed, but with a catch: the Catholic Church couldn't own the property. And so in 2025, with Vatican approval, ownership of St. Anne de Detroit was transferred to a lay-led Catholic non-profit.
With many historic Catholic properties in need of upkeep--and with potential donors often hesitant to donate to the Church due to management concerns--it could be a model that catches on elsewhere.

My 2.5 year old doesn’t understand the important job she has in naming this kitten. She keeps saying “the kitty doesn’t have a name” it doesn’t have a name because you haven’t named it yet! Please, it needs a name, just do your job already.

I'm picturing John Roberts walking into a swanky cocktail party in DC. He hasn't been in years. Since the Dobbs affair as they call it. But as he enters a man in a monacle raises his dry martini and shouts: We Stand for John! Huzzah! And then all stand as the huzzahs ring out. A tear escapes his left eye as he nods and bows his head.
