Here’s something that a LOT of people don’t know about what’s actually going on with Delhi Police.
CJP’s Saurav Das & Ashutosh Ranka have been sent to 2 more days of judicial custody in Tihar Jail.
By a judicial court? NO.
They have been kept in Tihar Jail for the last 6 days on the order of a Special Executive Magistrate (SEM).
Who is an SEM? He is an ACP-rank (junior) police officer of Delhi Police appointed by the state govt.
Therefore, Delhi Police arrested Saurav & Ashutosh & now a Delhi Police ACP (acting as SEM) is keeping them in jail.
There’s no FIR against them. There’s also no judicial order.
Delhi Police are the accusers & well as the judge when it comes to keeping them in jail.
That’s how messed up it is.

Thing is that this isn't even a general unreserved (UR) coach. It is a 2S chair car with push back seats, probably even a reserved coach.

This reminds me of my own post-PhD experience. It was after the 2008 crash, and research oriented industry jobs in the US were scarce.
I applied to triple-digit jobs online and didn't get a single interview call. By the standards prevalent at the time, I had an extremely good CV with all the right credentials. But I made two big mistakes. First, of graduating in a tough job market, of which I couldn't do anything about. Two, not reaching out to potential employers via my network. Part of it was pride. But a large part was also driven by my extremely high opinion of my own capabilities -- I thought that if someone wanted me, they should come to me (the former is still very true, btw).
Eventually, I realized my mistake, and reached out to my network and I ended up getting 5-6 interviews. Those translated to 3 offers, one of which I eventually ended up taking.
The whole experience taught me two very important lessons:
1. Network effects matter, irrespective of how good your CV is.
2. If you want something you need to go to people; they won't come to you, irrespective of your capabilities.

Dear Shri Zubair, we have taken note of your point that many instances of duplicate entries can still be found in the electoral roll of UP even after SIR. We are well aware of that fact and are in midst of the work of removing the duplicate entries. A major political party has already submitted to us a list of such entries some days ago. They have claimed that the number of duplicate entries is in lakhs but we are sure that it would not be so since we have already covered much ground since end of SIR. We have also noted your other point of instances of individuals filing multiple forms-7 for deletion of other voters. This was also in our knowledge as the issue was prominently raised by parties during SIR in first half of February this year. We had done two press conferences only on this issue in the month of February itself. A news portal also brought it out again on 9th October before you posted about it. We had already clarified this issue before your post through a press release issued some days ago. You can check it out on our X handle.
