You improve pupil outcomes by improving the quality of teaching. You improve teaching by improving the effectiveness of leadership. All are improved by focusing on how staff think and interact together. So..what will you keep doing, start doing and stop doing to improve each?

Does your HT have their own executive coach? Do you both have regular 1-to-1 coaching sessions? Not with a SIP, but with a coach who has no agenda.

Anon post: I’m a DHT and worried about the mental health of my HT who is going through a lot at school and at home. I don’t want to step over the line by speaking to anyone about what is their personal and private life, but don’t know how best to support them.
