We have been trying to create the best possible conditions for teacher development in terms of having a strong understanding of cognitive science and pedagogy combined with a precise, well sequenced curriculum. I loved the bit in the Reading Framework about teachers reading to the class everyday in primary, no matter the year group. Sometimes, the simplest thing that makes the biggest difference gets lost in school life. This is just a little reminder that this MUST happen.
