Beautifully said.
Our industry needs to welcome and celebrate people that are passionate about the experience as much as we celebrate those who are passionate about the taste. #BigTent

Winery sustainability is NOT just about the environmental impact. It’s about living wages, work/life balance, healthy vendors, social contracts, community contributions, R&D investments and esp. making profit.

If anyone’s curious, the new sculpture is called “Sonic Mountain” by Doug Aitkin which is a group of wind chimes placed on a hill in the middle of a eucalyptus grove. The breeze & sun through the day creates an ever changing dance of light & sound. – at Napa, CA

The Donum Estate has just unveiled Sonic Mountain (Sonoma), a commissioned site-specific artwork by Doug Aitken, situated within Donum's lush eucalyptus grove. Mimicking a wind chime, the installation responds to changes in the surrounding environment: thedonumestate.com/art

i STRONGLY approve of lighter wine bottles. makes sense in literally every way: less material (= smaller environmental footprint), less expensive for producer + drinker, easier for shipping, easier on my back when i'm carrying a case of wine up the stairs! washingtonpost.com/lifestyle…
