It's been some time since I've had the chance to write, but as we approach the DTC symposium, I feel compelled to share what the industry expresses behind closed doors.

BY Alder Yarrow:
"I'm so desperately sad to hear that Sam Neill died today. I have such great memories of spending time with him in New Zealand, connected to NZ wine. He was, of course, a staggeringly talented actor, one whom I revered for his on-screen performances, but I also knew him as a goofy guy deeply in love with an ugly pig, a farmer with dirt on his boots, a passionate and tireless advocate for NZ wine and the NZ environment. This was a guy so humble and approachable that I've had his cell phone number for maybe the last 8 years because he wanted me to text him some food photos. Such a massive loss to NZ, to Hollywood, and to his family. RIP. Raise a glass of NZ Pinot if you can. I will be opening a bottle of Two Paddocks at the earliest opportunity."

The man @dieworkwear came on the pod.
- i was shockingly nervous to talk to him
- he stayed anonymous (so no video)
- he's smart as hell
a lot of people are likely thinking "a fashion guy on MFM, huh?"
but he's perfect for a few reasons:
- his rise. grew his audience in a huge way, quickly.
- i think life is so much richer than just business and money. to me business is part self-expression. what i love about derek is that he's introduce me to a new type of self expression: clothes. previously, like many men, I thought "dudes shouldn't care about this". And even though i always loved clothes and style, I thought art and this type of stuff was a waste of time. Well, now i think differently.
- its practical. we talk about how to dress better.
- he's great with words. i love that ish.
