Let that sink in. More pages, more taxpayer dollars flushed down the drain.

Joe Biden didn’t just pardon Hunter for the gun crimes for which he was convicted. He pardoned Hunter for *EVERY SINGLE FEDERAL CRIME HE COMMITTED* over the last decade—including several years during which Joe Biden was VP and the entirety of Joe Biden’s presidency.

We Stand On The Dawn of a New Crypto Era with Trump and a Republican Sweep
As we stand on the cusp of the 2024 elections, the cryptocurrency industry in the United States faces a pivotal moment. If Donald Trump secures the presidency alongside a Republican majority in both the House and Senate, we could be witnessing the dawn of a new era for crypto—a stark contrast to the current administration's policies which have been nothing short of a war on digital assets.
Over the past few years, the Biden-Harris administration has implemented policies that many in the crypto community believe are designed to stifle the growth and innovation of blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies. One such policy, often referred to as "Choke Point 2.0," has been particularly detrimental. This informal policy has seen banks and financial institutions pressured into severing ties with cryptocurrency companies, effectively cutting off their access to banking services, which is crucial for their operation. This move has not only hindered the growth of new ventures but also pushed many established crypto businesses to look abroad for more welcoming regulatory environments.
The figureheads of this anti-crypto movement within the government have been none other than SEC Chairman Gary Gensler and Senator Elizabeth Warren. Gensler, under the guise of protecting investors, has led a regulatory crackdown on crypto firms with what some describe as an overzealous approach, pushing for enforcement actions rather than clear regulatory frameworks. His numerous meetings with Sam Bankman-Fried, the now-disgraced founder of FTX, before its collapse, highlight a cozy relationship between regulators and the industry's players that raises questions about regulatory oversight. Bankman-Fried's firm, FTX, was a major donor to political campaigns, contributing around $40 million, with a significant portion going to Democrats, showcasing a disturbing pattern of influence that seems to undermine the very integrity of regulatory practices.
Elizabeth Warren has openly declared her intent to build an "anti-crypto army," casting cryptocurrencies as tools for criminal enterprises, thus justifying her stance against what she perceives as unchecked financial innovation. Her rhetoric not only mischaracterizes the technology but also sows fear, uncertainty, and doubt among potential users and investors, thus protecting her TradFi backers.
On the flip side, Republicans like Senator Cynthia Lummis and Senator Tim Scott have emerged as staunch advocates for the crypto industry. They have pushed for legislation that would provide clear regulatory guidelines, fostering an environment where innovation can thrive without the looming threat of arbitrary enforcement. Their efforts signal a Republican commitment to integrating cryptocurrencies into the American financial system, potentially making the U.S. a leader in this sector once again.
A Trump administration paired with a Republican sweep in Congress could pivot this narrative sharply. Trump, who has recently positioned himself as a "Crypto President," will prioritize policies that encourage the development of digital assets. This could include overturning or modifying policies like Choke Point 2.0, ensuring that financial institutions can freely engage with crypto firms. Moreover, replacing figures like Gensler could lead to a more balanced regulatory approach, one that seeks to integrate rather than isolate cryptocurrencies within the financial ecosystem.
The potential for this shift is not just about economic growth; it's about reclaiming America's position at the forefront of financial technology innovation. The hypocrisy of the current administration's relationship with crypto influencers like Bankman-Fried, combined with the punitive measures against the industry, underscores the urgency for change. With Trump's recent embrace of crypto and a Republican-led Congress, we might see a regulatory environment that supports growth, innovation, and the pioneering spirit of Web 3.0, setting the stage for a new dawn in American financial technology.
