Great piece by @alephile on the need for local currency-pegged stables in emerging markets to improve onchain fx, on/off ramping liquidity, and serve as the bedrock for EM tokenized RWAs. Beyond dollar value, the potential economic impact for this is huge, as local currency-pegged stables open up EMs to the global financial system and enable global investment in EM economies.

Back in the early days where we need to off-ramp crypto to fiat and we only had P2P vendors and Whatsapp vendors.
It was very tough to off-ramp successfully without having issues like; scam,rates,charges and all sorts.
Lately,off-ramping now gets easier and seemless.
More platforms that solves the problem are now being built,buh sadly, they are not solving the whole problem.

We were able to quantize the model and reduce the cost of serving it by more than 50%, while improving performance and lowering latency.

The work was based on an implementation of the original paper written by our ML researcher.
We’re also releasing the DAX-1 Technical Report, covering the methodology, evaluations, strengths, and limitations behind the model.
