It is important to note that not all thick-walled ventricles are the same and that the assessment of them must be done correctly each time. Adding in strain imaging is not a diagnosis in these cases BUT can be a red flag to assist the clinician on the path to diagnosis 28/32

Congratulations Prof @ScaliaGreg for this wonderful recognition today. You have and continue to teach, inspire, encourage and mentor sonographers, including myself.
What a fabulous session to close #PDHeart2024, with echo luminaries. So many learnings from this meeting but two slides struck me to the core:“find ways to keep loving what we do” and build a “culture of learning, not blame”. Thank you all for sharing your passion and knowledge🙏

Has anyone measured DT of pulmonary venous diastolic velocity (DT PVD) and used it for echo assessment of diastolic function? I have never measured, and this parameter is now featured in the new BSE guidelines (yet published) for echo assessment of diastolic function #echofirst

LOVE hearing this little imaging tip has helped others obtain on-axis parasternal views in technically challenging cases.
This week I had a patient w/ Poland Syndrome with underdeveloped L) anterior chest wall who has previously been told he has no diagnostic acoustic windows.
This section of CASE journal is really cool. And their first sonographer sound off “go right to make it right” has been an excellent tip. I’ve now tried it numerous time and it just works!!!
