I agree this does represent a challenge for us, case in point, I’m still the only fixer I know in the community, that’s a huge problem and the reason our messaging is an incoherent collection of hot trash
I can’t just make more trans PR women, I have to wait for one to exist, that’s less than ideal for getting shit done
Being an effective politician takes a specific skillset, its niche even among the general population
So I wouldn’t say we’re inherently bad at politics or that we hard select any specific traits, I’d say we just disproportionately suffer from a lack of talent due to the random nature of who is trans and the small size of our community
I’m actually fascinated by the number of people who don’t evaluate themselves or their lives on a routine basis
