So, let me get this straight: yesterday the Supreme Court ruled colleges CAN’T discriminate on the basis of race but today they ruled that a web designer CAN discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community? Sorry, but this Court is so freaking messed up.

Deeply disappointed in my colleagues on council today. The choice to move forward with today’s rent control vote while three of our members, including the two bill authors, were out honoring Eid is a disservice to them and the people of Mpls, particularly our Muslim residents.

Dismayed that MPLS City Council proceeded with its meeting today on a Islamic holiday.
The current system wasn’t able to catch this oversight that disenfranchises Muslim Council Members.
Policy debate is a part of the process, we can’t have debate without key members present.

If you know anyone who is going to turn 65 soon remind them to enroll in regular Medicare & not a Medicare advantage plan. A family member recently needed acute rehab & the social workers delight at not needing prior auth bc they had straight Medicare was an excellent reminder.
