We have heavy hearts tonight as we mourn eight people who have lost their lives in a senseless act of violence. There is much to learn tonight but many victims are Asian, calling into question if this is related to recent hate crimes and assaults against Asian Americans.
NEW: At least 8 people were killed in shooting scenes in two Georgia counties, Atlanta-area officials said. The shootings have not been linked by authorities.
