It has been rough. I feel for everybody stuck here with nowhere to go - some people with kids told us they slept here for two days in a row. My sympathies to Auckland right now - another example that should convince us climate change needs to be taken seriously.

Looking for others stuck at Auckland International trying to head to the states (ORD) // Want to link up and trade info you might have on what’s happening with rebookings? #AucklandAirport
We are the best friends. It has truly been an unprecedented event. Many of the folks we’ve met from NZ have told us they’ve never seen a climate disaster like this. 😔

I truly believe that we (AANHPI) need to continue to tell our stories over & over again because they get fragmented. In our webinar, @soukprida & I hoped to do that well with some history & data dissagregation while acknowledging the nuances in the identity of Asian America.
New video! "Making the Invisible, Visible: Southeast Asian American Experience in the US" features educators Soukprida Phetmisy @soukprida and Levi Lovang @ayyolevi who talk with us about migration, cross-community solidarity, and more. bit.ly/31YBI16 #BreakingAPABias
