ALT RCS strongly condemns the recent escalation of policing in Jackson Heights, North Corona, Elmhurst, and Flushing, which targets migrant Asian massage and sex workers, along with Black, Latinx, and transgender sex workers and street vendors in our community. We demand the removal of state and local troops from Queens.
ALT Our workers' experiences remind us that policing and criminalization of sex work do not create safer communities. Instead, these dehumanizing narratives are fabricated and weaponized to justify increased surveillance, perpetuating our community's precarity through police violence, incarceration, and stigmatization. We demand the full decriminalization of massage and sex work.
ALT Since SESTA-FOSTA annihilated the online platforms that sex workers used to solicit and perform in privacy, the most marginalized workers are turning to street and storefront bases for economic survival. We call upon NYC residents to rally for compassion and resources to those most in need.
ALT Decriminalize, so workers will have the capacity to organize, sustain each other, and conduct business in private. Destigmatize, sex workers work to support their families and deserve safety and protection as much as everyone else.

ALT Jackson Heights Raids The large-scale raids of massage parlors in Jackson Heights have been hitting many of us very hard since January. The raids were coupled efforts by NYPD and Department of Buildings, which closed down almost all massage parlors in Jackson Heights by dispersing the workers and fining the landlords. This is a new strategy that they are taking to criminalize sex workers: after many of us have suffered arrests in the name of prostitution, human trafficking, and unlicensed massage, now they are directly targeting the parlor owners and landlords.
