Did a new compilation on insta - instances where composers have sung for each other (composer A sang for composer B, and vice versa). Sharing it as a thread here as well. Started with Hindi, planning to do Tamil and Malayalam as well at some point.

#Thread This thread was inspired by a happy debate with @baradwajrangan: how did some of Hindi and Bengali cinema’s biggest composers find their way into Malayalam films? Many were modest productions, even by Malayalam standards. Here are 10. Feel free to add your favs.

cuz you can’t hear this on spotify Veerapandi Kottayilae with a full symphony orchestra (from A. R. Rahman concert yesterday at Dallas, Texas) has slightly extended orchestral interludes. Perfect song to perform with a symphony and this performance is so fricking tight. (Use headphones)

I want a movie where the villain gets the girl. Where the hero stands at a distance watching her fall in love with someone else and says nothing. No fight. No grand gesture. Just a man learning to live with a love he could not keep.
