Lots of discussion out there about our next model(!), so I wanted to give an early look as soon as possible. Introducing Gemini 4 Argon!
It shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering. Teams are using it extensively at Google, from coding to quantum computing, great feedback.
Here’s a look at the benchmarks:

OpenClaw deleted around 400k LOC of its own tests without much change in code coverage. Modern models just love writing tests for every tiny change, even if they aren't useful. This skill helped. github.com/openclaw/openclaw…

My eSIM app makes 2x my SWE salary – here is how I found the first 100 users for it
I launched my first app @yadaphone when Skype closed down and scaled it to $15,000 per month alone.
6 months ago, I decided to launch another business – an eSIM service called eSIMPal.
I felt super nervous – I was afraid it would flop, and that would mean my first app was just a matter of luck.
For the launch, I used all the lessons I learned from my first business. And it worked – in 6 months, @eSIMPalx ended up making $5,600/month – 2x what I was getting as a software developer
Here is exactly what I did:
1. The X launch post
I spent 4 hours writing the 200-word launch post. First I dumped all my thoughts about the products into the editor – it was about 1000 words.
I thought about who the users would be, how I could differentiate from a red sea of other eSIM providers, and most importantly – why people would trust me.
I am a frequent traveler, so I used this as a hook (the link to the post will be in the comments), then I talked about the competition, why they suck, and why my app doesn't. I also attached two photos with my face in the travel context (super important, adds credibility).
This was a pure marketing launch post, I didn't pay for any boosts – and it got 332k views. The follow-up post got 200k views.
The 500k combined views led to 70 signups, 45 payments, and ~$800 in revenue. Some of the users from this batch are still buying eSIMs for their travels from my app!
People started interacting with eSIMPal, I got first purchases, and most importantly – the users pointed out what was wrong with the app.
Two pain points were my pricing for some destinations and the lack of regional packages, so I spent the next couple of days fixing that.
2. Marketing on Reddit
During the first week after launch, I showed up in every possible subreddit about eSIMs and travel. I made a lot of mistakes – I used shady marketing practices, like astroturfing, and of course got banned a lot.
I got around 30 clients from marketing on Reddit this way, but I actually don't recommend it to anybody – shady marketing means you will be fighting with the platform, and it's an uphill battle. Much better is to write actual useful content, help people, and let Reddit help you in return.
3. Network
As I mentioned, I already had a working product called Yadaphone when I launched eSIMPal. Yadaphone is a website to make cheap international calls; the niche was practically the same.
So I used the existing network of affiliates and users – I texted affiliates to see if they would be interested in promoting eSIMPal as well, and let the users who might be interested in eSIMs know about eSIMPal.
In the first week, this brought around 20 users – but the numbers were much bigger in the long run.
If you don't have an existing product, use your family, work/friend chats – basically anywhere where people already know you, and you don't need to cold pitch them.
I hope this post was helpful to anybody preparing to launch their first business!

We are going to do big things in China, and now we have the premier domain to do it! Then we're going to do the same around the rest of the world. Full localization, user groups, everything. Omarchy embraces the whole world 🌎🌏🌍
Now we've got `omarchy.cn` on board thanks to @Grey0520 's generous contribution. He’s Gen Z and has already been using Omarchy for a year! Linux is so appealing to the younger generation.
$29.
That's how much this post made with 380K followers.
Stop thinking an audience will make you rich.
People don't buy just because they follow you.
If you want to get rich:
1. Sell painkillers, not vitamins
2. Follow trends and build before anyone else.
3. Copy what works. Take a boring B2B business and make it better.
4. Be remarkable. Build something people have never built before.

Ghostty (and libghostty) now fully implement the Kitty clipboard protocol to allow apps to read/write non-textual data (like images!). Ghostty is the first to implement the full protocol outside Kitty. The biggest program to support this is probably Claude Code. Demo below.
This will be part of Ghostty 1.4, available in nightly now. Available in libghostty now.

The era of linear careers is ending.
The most successful people will work illegible career paths by running hundreds of interesting experiments over their lives.
They won't even "monetize" the old way.
They'll just stumble into revenue.

never a money game for me
you only learn when you play
what i learned
1. when a viral thing happens, you can't copy the luck. someone else won the lottery. just admit it
2. doesn't mean you have no chance. keep trying other creative things
3. jonathan is not an overnight success. he grinded hard for years
4. making money is never easy, never a shortcut. believing it is the real mistake
5. going viral is the hardest part. most indie hackers treat it as the shortcut and just wish luck hits them
now back to grinding my boring business
slow and steady is the actual shortcut
Words can not express my gratitude for @tobi, @patrickc, @MichaelDell, @jack, @eastdakota, @brendaniribe, and @jasonfried all joining me and putting in $1m of their own personal money to fund this audacious adventure to finally fulfill the prophecy 🙏🙏🙏

$3M ARR!
It took us 18 months to reach $1M
6 more months to reach $2M
4 more months to reach $3M
It’s not the speed Harry Stebbings asks for but it’s life changing speed for me personally.
The core focus didn’t change: customers.
I still reply to each support request myself.
We are shipping to production (almost) every day.
Every dinner we discuss ways to grow Papermark
Now, we can afford $10 coffees without feeling guilty (maybe a little)
What changed:
- Tens of thousands of teams signed up
- Millions of viewed data rooms and documents
- Billions in deal volume running through Papermark
The greatest joy is that we built a product people love and use every day. Our customers trust us with their most confidential deals.
$10M next

A lot of founders I talk to are worried about what will happen with AI. So am I frankly. But they're actually better off than anyone else. If the world is going to get turned upside down, the safest place to be is in a small, fast-moving company that can easily change direction.
