DevDb v2 packs a punch. One of my top features is the query explainer feature that deeply integrates with the MySQL Explain tool by @tobias_petry who also collab'ed with me to make the integration possible. ...and it's still Day 0 🤟 cc: @aarondfrancis @Dominus_Kelvin @AyoolaFalola

It's remarkable how Google is pushing things in this AI hustle/era. I just used AI in Search, and I thought about what would have happened otherwise, if Google hadn't made such moves. The thoughts of Blackberry vs Android came to mind, and the eventual takeover by the latter

Just get DevWorkspace Pro 👌🏾 devworkspacepro.com
This new @laravel Herd needs a way to go back to the old UI. I don't need nor do I want a prompt box! Word cannot capture how much I truly HATE this!

It didn't do the flip. Fake.
Okay, okay… I have to admit it. 👀🔥 The Tesla Roadster opens up some absolutely INSANE possibilities.

I agree with you. He disagrees with us on this, though 😎

Almost every time I've used PhotoRec, I'm in so much a panic mode that I've never noticed the author's name printed right there. Thank you, Sir Christophe Grenier
I just used it today to recover my kid's second birthday pictures that I thought I had lost forever. God Bless Christophe Grenier!!! I will try it on my older hard disks tomorrow.

Because CLI apps feels natural to dev workflow. A desktop apps that makes the terminal an implementation detail unlocks a powerful flow, if well done. devworkspacepro.com
Most devs use Claude Code in the terminal, but why? The desktop app feels cleaner and more organized, and from what I can tell it offers the same core features. Am I missing something? Is the CLI actually more powerful, or do developers just prefer terminals?

Never listen to the AI doomers. I won't trade learning and competence for AI conveniences. I'd be richer than Elon if I got a penny for all the instances I've had to steer these rocks to get quality job done.

Not true. And definitely not "pointless". Developers keep buying DevDb Pro every single month. There's definitely still demand for good opinionated solutions.
Selling software is pointless now

Hopefully, the labs don't figure out these assessment accounts, and give them dedicated infra lol
Claude Opus 5.5 just took a big drop on NerfBench. Yesterday it was scoring above launch. Today it's at 94.2%. GPT 6 Astra: 98.0% Sonnet 5.5: 100.9% GPT 6.1 Sol: 106.7% 94.2% is still inside normal variance, so we can't call it a nerf yet. But we're watching Opus 5.5 very closely.

AI really took something away from us. I miss reading this kind of technical work and doc crafted by bare human hands, the scent of dry human sweat all over this!!

We should find a platform that brings Alex, David, Aisha Yesufu etc. Maybe if they are able to cross-educate themselves, they'll learn from each other, and then everyone can somehow work together for national interest?
The semiconductor industry is one of the largest and most important industries in the world today. Unfortunately, Nigeria and Africa as a whole has little or no stake in it. These are the kinds of conversations we need to start having. This is the industry that powers AI and will shape the future of our children.

Lol
I don't have one hour to sit and watch this so I just shared the link to my Grok Bot to watch and learn

BREAKING: Tesla has officially started offering Cybercab rides to the public. I’ve been waiting years to say that! I took one of the world's first public rides. The cabin is comfortable and spacious, the suspension is soft, and FSD is VERY smooth. It’s an incredible vehicle. The screen is HUGE. The video doesn’t do it justice. We can ride in the Cybercab anywhere in Tesla’s Austin service area, so the same areas as the Model Y Robotaxi. The Cybercab lives up to the hype. It will transform travel. Here's a clip of my ride:

My organization, Educare, will be committing $100,000 within the next 18 months toward academic research exclusively in Nigeria. We will identify and partner with some universities to deliver the outcomes. We have identified numerous challenges in the Nigerian education sector. However, our first investment will focus on the development and psychometric standardization of school exams, with critical thinking as a core component. This initiative will span primary, secondary, and tertiary education, significantly improving the quality of learning outcomes in the country. It is time to start creating a true Nigerian education system that will move our society forward. A lot of people know about the problems in Nigeria; it is time we start committing to solving them with meaningful research investments.

I've also been increasingly asking CC to re-present stuff to me "succinctly and without fluffs". So frequent that I even considered creating a skill just for this. Maybe I'll try out other options too see if it's greener out there
Ok here's a moment where I think People are right. Anthropic are losing it. The Claude Opus models are **broken**... People said it about Opus 4.8 and I didn't believe it. I switched to 4.8 recently to get away from the problems of 5. And here, just now. Hey Claude please output the fix we just did to the websockets method in our app to my obsidian vault. Looked at it later. Look at the *ridiculous* verbosity of that. It's completely stupidly frustratingly ridiculous. Not that much happened. I'll have to pare all this down myself to human language for it to be useful. What's the point then? And it has in it's CLAUDE.md to use "Zinsser's" and the Standard Technical Language too. You get enough of these frustrating moments and you just think. No, people have been right for a while. Opus (since 4.7 or so) and Sonnet models are broken. So it's either, use Fable exclusively as the main model with an Anthropic sub. Fable still has that autonomous brilliance. Or just switch away from Anthropic entirely for Codex or Grok or Kimi or something.
