people are slowly waking up to the fact that solana is technologically best suited for ZK on the L1. you can verify SNARKs instantly on Solana and compose atomically with regular markets, thanks to various zk syscalls that were built into the runtime. solana can do all the things you need to build zk-native and private flows with decent UX. you can now also build UTXO-like state sets — which are necessary for anonymity — using rent-free accounts, which in turn are powered by ZK via zkcompression. And lastly, Solana is permissionless and decentralized, unlike many L2s.
It’s very early innings, but we will soon see a Cambrian explosion of ZK underneath consumer apps at various parts of the stack.
Solana is turning into one of the last remaining strongholds for worldwide free markets at scale.
